Whole-house backups

Main sewer line clearing
in Windermere, FL

When more than one fixture backs up at once, the problem is rarely the fixture. It's the main line that carries everything out of the house — and it needs to be cleared from the cleanout, not the toilet.

Signs you need main sewer line clearing

Water coming up in the shower

The lowest drain in the house is where a main-line backup shows first.

Toilet gurgles when the washer drains

Two fixtures affecting each other means they share a blocked line.

Several drains slow at once

One slow drain is a local clog. Three is the main line.

A wet or overflowing yard cleanout

The cleanout cap is the pressure-relief point — if it's weeping, the line past it is blocked.

How we do it

Cleared from the cleanout

We locate your main cleanout, clear the line with a sewer machine sized for the job, and flush it. When roots or heavy buildup are involved, hydro jetting scours the pipe walls so the clog doesn't rebuild in a month.

On septic? That's fine

Plenty of homes around the Butler Chain are on septic. We clear the line between the house and the tank. If the real problem is a full tank, we'll tell you it needs pumping instead of charging you to snake a line that isn't the issue.

You see the result

We can run a camera through the line after clearing it, so you can see roots, sags or damage for yourself — and you keep the video.

FAQ

Main sewer line clearing questions

Is a main line backup an emergency?

If sewage is coming up into a tub or shower, stop running water in the house and call us. Every flush or load of laundry adds to what's backing up.

Do you pump septic tanks?

No. We clear clogged lines on septic homes, and if your tank is full we'll say so and point you to a pumping company.

Why did my main line clog in the first place?

The usual culprits are tree roots finding joints in older pipe, grease from the kitchen, wipes, and sections of pipe that have sagged. A camera inspection shows which one you're dealing with.
